Marie Osmond's Kid Heads to Rehab

It's not a good time to be Marie Osmond.

On tonight's "Larry King Live," the "Dancing with the Stars" star was blindsided by Larry King who asked if 16-year-old son Michael was in rehab. What would Brigham Young do?! She confirmed that he was admitted last week -- the same week Marie's father died at his home in Utah.

Osmond got choked up while talking about her son, telling Larry, "He is the most amazing kid ... it's been a hard week." Still, Marie managed to go on with the "Dancing" show.

92. No surprise, addictions can be found in any family. Hopefully rehab will work for him.

93. Why not JAN? Larry was just doing his job. I hardly ever agree with anyone, but I do agree with CHUCK. Tell us one valid reason Larry shouldn't have brought it up? Because her father just died? She is the one who chooses to give all of the interviews instead of being at home where she obviously should be with her ailing son. I know Marie makes your bush all wet, but face it

96. 73# Carlitasway- I hope I spell your post name right, if I am not, Sorry for it. Marie did not skip her father's funeral. It is impossible to understand anything when you dont know anything about LDS., apply to all other religions! I studied mormonism with LDS in Park City, Utah. LDS only have the funeral service offering to the mormons inside the church. Closed to others. For example, the couple who happen to be mormon, and want to get marry, then they only invited the people who are mormon inside, because of temple sacraife. Closed to other people who are not LDS, and for the people who are not LDS, go to the receptions. It is same for funeral. George Osmond is a very private person and probably asked all of his children to not have to be soo publicized funeral service. It is okay if you don't believe or don't like their religion or it sounds odd to you, it is the way they worship. My Uncle asked my Father not to have the memorial service on his death wish. We did. It doesn't mean we are not great or nice people because we don't do my Uncle's funeral service! My Uncle is Christian. Don't assume anything before you think you know everything. Plus, Marie is not that old, only 10 years older than me. I enjoy my age while I can and enjoy my children ( my boys ) at the same time. When it comes to being 70, it becomes an old age and not easy to put up with health issues. I am happy to know you want to have the priority as being be there for your family in time of need!.

97. I am so sick of seeing the Osmonds, every night on ET and other entertainment programs. There kind of entertainment is long gone. You would think they were the only ones that loved their family.Overly sentimental, sappy and obsessed with there own brood,it just goes to far.....We all have problems too.....

99. ANYTHING FOR ATTENTION - shut your face - my dad is 83, active, wise and I hope he lives to 99. Even that is not enough years with the wondeful man I call dad. You either are orphaned at a young age or a reject - good grief. Marie loved her dad - she is doing quite well in the face of it and with a child now in rehab. So shut up and get the hell off of the TMZ blog.

100. I really find it hard to believe that anybody would be so judgemental . There are such nasty role models today! Marie Osmond has been in a family that was revered for three decades. We all have problems and it is about time that she is the only Osmond that is able to express that fact. The Osmondshave been successful and she is the only girl in the family and has seems to deal with quite a bit in her life. Do you think that maybe she has alot on her plate and now she is trying to get out there? I love her and I hope that she keeps going. She has gone through a lot and I do admire her conviction to continue. Check your own children out. Maybe when you are saying things about others, you are really look at your own parentingskills or lack of parenting from your parents.

101. I for some idiotic reason read all the blogs and most of them horrified me. Just like Jane Seymour who lost her mother, I think that Marie is staying on the show because of the personal challenge and work it takes. To bring up her issues with her postpartum depression episodes, after having her first marriage be devastating, and now a 2nd divorce, a loss of her father which the show was supposed to be before George died, and then to bring up the rehab, is horrible.
I think she is while I don't consistently follow her one incredible woman. She has been honest about her struggles, does a lot of volunteer work and is devoted to her children, they are older now, the fact she decided to do something for herself and follow through with it, has nothing to do with her charchter despite the loss of her father, who was proud she was on the show and her son being rehab. Her kids do have a father, and I am sure Marie isn't spending every second away from them. She has a doll collection she has made a ton of money on at QVC, she doesn't need the attention from DWS she is doing it because of the challenge. As far as her fainting is concerned, all the work that they have to do to prepare for the show its possible by the end of her dance, her blood sugar was low and she fainted. I think she has a lot of class and a lot of integrity. Most don't as proved on here. I am not a fan club type of any celebrity, but I can tell you with Donnie being honest about his issues, and Marie about hers, they are classy but human all the way. Too bad most people on here are not! LisaInMn

102. First of all...Marie I'm really sorry to hear your dad died and then your son is going into rehap...Hope your family get though this.
Second of all...What is wrong with you guys?! A woman have lost her dad and her son needs help and you guys jump on her like she plan the whole thing...Man if I hadn't read this with my own eyes I really wouldn't have believed it...I really feel sorry for you guys.
And by the way it dosen't matter how old the man is, it still hurts when somebody you love dies. Got that? If you don't what to hear about the Osmonds then turn of the tv or chance the channel...Do somethingelse for a change...Maria

103. It is disgusting for those of you to make fun of a very serious situation for Marie and her family. Shame on you! God Bless Marie and the very best of luck in Michaels recovery.

104. It freaking bugs me that whenever someone is LDS aka Mormon, and something happens to them, the press makes a big deal about their religion.

WHO FREAKING CARES WHAT RELIGION THEY ARE?????

It's the same with Mitt Romney! I AM SICK OF IT!
