Marie Osmond's Kid Heads to Rehab

It's not a good time to be Marie Osmond.

On tonight's "Larry King Live," the "Dancing with the Stars" star was blindsided by Larry King who asked if 16-year-old son Michael was in rehab. What would Brigham Young do?! She confirmed that he was admitted last week -- the same week Marie's father died at his home in Utah.

Osmond got choked up while talking about her son, telling Larry, "He is the most amazing kid ... it's been a hard week." Still, Marie managed to go on with the "Dancing" show.

46. I read some of the comments and find some people to be so cruel. I don't know of any family that doesn't go through problems no matter what their beliefs. The problems and heart breaks are there, hopefully those who wish to critize will never have to face anything like what Marie is dealing with.

47. For all of you who have never lost a parent - at any age - and have never had trouble with a child - you are the luckiest people on earth.

I am a good mother and I have a great son. But it has not been all smooth sailing. And I would give my right arm to have my parents (and my brothers) back for just one more day.

My heart hurts for all Marie Osmond has been through - and is still going through. For those of you who criticize her still dancing - give the woman a break! She needs something good and positive and fun in her life. And her kids DO have a dad. Where is he in all this???

You have to experience some of the bad stuff to understand. She has my prayers.

48. Why are we all sitting in judgement of this woman. She is a performer. Nothing more. And unfortunately she is living through some very difficult times in the public eye. If all of these same things had happened to her 6 months ago they wouldn't have been given a second thought. I give her credit to be able to work as hard as she does without totally cracking up. She could be running red lights and driving with her kids on her lap!

49. Donny, Marie and whole Osmond clan:
I love you guys......I've been a fan for over 36 years. Everyone has family issues, but unfortunately, those in the limelight seem to have their issues magnified X100. Keep the faith Marie. You're a GREAT mom and you are dearly loved my many.
Donny, my love goes out to you as well. Hugs to all 128 (or more) of you!!!!

50. Although Marie was thrown off by Larry King's question, she handled it with grace and dignity. Most parents do go through teenage hell in one way or anoher. I wish her and her famly well. Also, I hope she makes it all the way on dancing with the stars. Marie has become quite the good dancer.

51. No one and I mean NO ONE's child is immune from the threat of drugs no matter how stable and God-centered the home is. In fact, it may simply be rejection AGAINST that. If you are so foolish as to think that you know what your teenager is doing every single minute of every single day even under your own roof, you are a fool. There are teenagers who do drugs because their parents are not involved enough and teenagers who do drugs because their parents are involved too much. There are teenagers who do drugs because their friends do them and they think it is fun and they are immortal. Amazing that people can be so naive in this day and age.

52. I love the Osmonds. At least they are not freaks like the Jack-offs. I find it funny though, that Larry King would ask her a question that catches her off-guard, but he couldn't do the same to Parisite, ya know, something like, "So Paris, when is your next porno coming out", or "So Paris, do you ever plan on apologizing for those racist remarks". Just an observation, is all.

53. I cannot believe this. Why hell are you guys on TMZ story/post/comment of Marie Osmond who of you don't give damn about her! I am tired of people mocking these certain celebrities who who are so devoted to their religious affiliations of faithes. It doesn't mean they don't put family last after Jesus Christ or dancing! Marie was only asked /invited to come to Dancing for Stars by the producers. Marie said YES! Marie was out of the spotlight for a long time and put her career on hold to raise her children. Marie has been a long time actvist with a charity/ fundraising for terminally illness children such as leumankia or cancer. Nice to see her on Dancing for Stars. I am sorry for her to have to deal with all of things at once. With the strength she need from God, to be able keep herself on ground. If without her faith, she would get lost. I am glad she had to get involved to see to that her child get to get some help. I wish Lynne Spears would get this influence from her to do something about her daughter and her former son in law and her grandsons, instead is busy working on her Pop Star book. Now the reason I am saying here because I am a Christian myself, just like Marie is a Mormon! I understand where she is coming from!

55. One of you stated she is going through alot and that she should be able to have fun. Well there is a time for fun and during a time of death and a young son entering rehab the fun should stop. It is tacky to stay in a dumb dancing competition and as a mother I wouldn't think twice to quit and go home to be with my child. I'm sorry but it is poor mothering on her part. Personally, I would have quit if my father died but those are the values I was raised with which is family first no matter what.

56. Larry is married to Marie's best friend. I doubt the question was a surprise. I'm sure she just wanted to get it out there before the tabloids plastered it on all the covers.

I feel for her.

60. What does Marie do other than seek constant attention? Does she have a job? She can't sing, act, or dance and she keeps pulling sympathy cards out of her a** in order to survive on DWTS. I can't stand her or her annoying brother Donny and wish these talentless has-beens would retire already. As for her drug addicted son, how "amazing" can he be if he's in a rehab center?
