226. Exactly right LOGICAL. And people will say on here(the idiots) that "the show must go on". Well bull crap! There is plenty of time for the show to go on. She did go on a media tour when she should have been at home grieving or spending time with her son who obviously needed her. Instead she was cackling like a chicken on Larry King. 227. Mormons are considered hard working, respectable, and relatively dull people. The Osmonds come into this realm because they are considered by most as old school entertainers, never getting into any type of trouble. Never hearing them allude to anything morally bad such as doing drugs, drinking alcohol, premarital sex or anything else. The Mormon religion, if you want to call it that, is based on the digging up of another testament of the bible by Smith in New England back in the 1800's. In reality Mormons are probably one of the oldest and most successful of the "pyramid scheme" in the world. A family with say 8 children with each child having another 8 children and those 8 children each having 8 or so children, with each child/family paying a percentage of their earnings into the church. Mormons are told whom to socialize with and are assigned areas in which to live, member families are assigned specific other families to have dinner and socialization with throughout the week and everyone works for the church. Mormon children attend mormon summer camps and if they begin to do bad things in the community, they are even sent to Mormon reform camps and schools that indoctrinate them into becoming good Mormons. If you are a Mormon without a girlfriend/spouse, they even have a place for you to go in order to find a spouse. You are told where to go to school, what to do and you must perform missionary work for a number of years of your life. After which, you are told to marry and start having children, all under the guise of religion.

In reality Mormons (of course they like to be called LDS now) mainly because of the bad light the word Mormon is usually associated with by the general public. But in reality a lot of Mormon children, use drugs, steal, commit assault, and do everything else other children do. Mormons have affairs, cheat others, get divorced, lie and do bad things just like the general public but in most cases, these bad things are handled within the church and is not made public.

The Osmonds are good people that were born into this religious group and were indoctrinated into the beliefs and actions of the group without the power to escape. I would rather see them smiling and talking as they always do instead of seeing them act like a bunch of uneducated idiots, like a lot of celebrities do.

Do research on the Mormon Green Salamander, a writing that reveals the true underlying Mormon (LDS) religion.

If you are the one who wrote those writings then you are a TERRIBLE writer...unless of course you were intending to write a fictional story. I live in Salt Lake City and have several Mormon friends....the entire paragraph you ahve written about them below is FALSE...they are not told who to socialize with, where to live and for sure are not ASSIGNED specific families to have dinner and socialize with...THAT IS ABSURD that you would even claim that. 230. Anyone with a child can end up having that child in rehab. With everything that is available to kids, anyone who does not experience a drinking/drug issue with one of their children should feel blessed and lucky. I am not a Marie fan but feel nothing but sympathy for what she has gone through in the past couple of weeks. Also, a persons religion should not play into it at all. That is why our country is great, because we have freedoms. I do think that she was totally blindsighted by Larry King. It showed all over her face. The shame is on Mr. King.

231. I would like post a comment to anything for attention. Are you for real? I can't believe the insensitivity of your remark about Marie Osmond's father being 90. Have you ever lost a loved one? It doesn't matter if they were 9 or 90! Your remark was unbelievably cruel. You had better be careful with statements like that. All of these wild statements and opinions are what I don't like about message boards. If everyone had to post their real name and address, I believe there would be a lot less of these type statements. I'm sure someone will have a crude response to my post. Don't bother, I won't be coming back to this site. I don't usually participate on message boards, but couldn't resist responding to this person (who I consider to be a coward and a idiot).

232. Marie is such a classy lady. I have been in love with her brother Donny for 35 years. The whole family emits class. I have kept up with them over the years and one thing I noticed is that all of the brothers children seem to be doing fine. She (being the only girl) has had her share of heartache and pain. The brothers non celebrity wives have been stay at home moms to their children, while Marie is the famous one and major breadwinner in her family. Her first husband cheated on her ( not her fault) so she divorced him...............regardless of her strict religon (good for her). Not sure what the problem(s) were in her recent marriage, but either way, I give her credit for ending a bad situation. Children need a mother who can be available most of the time. Not sure what her schedule is, but it shows me that if she were available for them more, some of the children's issues might not have escalated to this point. Her daughters were on My space a couple of years ago with web pages that advertised them being sexually active, lesbians and drug users. Now her son is in rehab.
I feel for her. She needs to slow down a bit and tend to her home life. I think that she is trying too hard now trying to forget her painful divorce , low self esteem issues ( her weight gain and ex husband bashing her) and fathers death, so she wants to remain in the publics eye to gain self esteem back. While that is admirable,, she needs to tend to her family now. Once they are on a good course, then she can start to work more. After all, she adopted 5 children, not to mention her 3 biological ones. It is apparent that she loves kids, but don't have them if you won't or can't be there for them.
I love you Marie. You are my idol. I look up to you. Now do something for your family before it's too late.

233. as a mother, I am surprised she committed herself to the grueling schedule of DWTS. Considering her recent divorce, and the effects of that trauma on the children, my focus would have been on my kids and not on myself. I find Marie to be somewhat of a narcissist and unfortunately her children are being pushed aside for Mommy's time in the spotlight. And I agree, she is not that good of a dancer.

I have been close friends with the family for over 50 years. It's hard to sit on it and read the trash some of you nut cases write. Every derogatory comment I read them and the church is absolutely absured and uneducated opinion.

236. REVENGE from Larry King:

These 2 articles below clearly proves Larry King was out to revenge against the Osmonds, BTW, her son is a MINOR, he really crossed the line, revealing the teen's name, and that was not just hurting the Osmonds, but a non-public teenager, he now has put more pressure on this young man in any kind of rehab to strive to overcome whatever problems he may have which is none of our business.

Larry King crossed the line bigtime here and should be fired for it.
The Osmonds, handled themselves with class in return from Larry's blindsiding Marie and the rest of the family. She was clearly shocked, and upset. Donny also looked upset and his eyes were trying to figure out what's going on, that means Donny did NOT know it was coming either.

I see this show will be repeated over the weekend, if not mistaken. Just a ratings grabbing ploy by Larry King who BTW, pretaped the show, and managed to trick other news sites that it came from Entertainment Tonight first, when it was Larry's show that did it first. He turned the tables on Donny with that ploy because Donny's been working as a ET correspondent this week.

Finally, Applause to Donny, her brother for sticking up for her, now that's a true brother!
AND it was first reported by Larry King, not Entertainment Tonight where Donny is a correspondent. Someone told several news sites the latter, when it was King all the way.

I already emailed a letter to Larry King, telling him he crossed the line disclosing a minor's name on national television, thus he could be causing the teenager more stress.

239. What is wrong with all the uncaring, ignorant people on this? When A person has problems in their life, it's usually between the family/friends. When you're a celebrity, it's for the world to know. How hurtful some of you are. Marie has been through hell, and her brothers have, to. Two deaf older brothers, and one with MS. Many other tragedies that most people don't know about. When she lost her mom, the only other female in the family, it had to devastate her! And losing a parent, no matter the age, is awful. I'll pray for the poor souls who don't give a damn. Matie is a class act...she's lovely, funny, caring and all the rest of the Dancing contestants say she takes care of them like a mom. God Bless her....and she wouldn't be a star for 45 years if she wasn't doing something right.
I'd LOVE to know her. And her son will be fine with that kind of love and support.
